The Russian Hyundai car plant has extended its production downtime to at least December 2022, having been idle since March 1 of this year. The company is missing components and has no way to adjust supplies.
The company is still considering options to sell the automobile plant due to the losses it has incurred for a long time.
In addition, the St. Petersburg arbitration court has seized the funds of the Russian subsidiary because of the failure to execute one of the contracts for the construction of the plant for 16 million rubles from the company StroyTechImport.
It should be recalled that earlier it became known that Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Rus had started the process of mothballing its plant in St. Petersburg. The cars have been removed from the plant, including those that have not been assembled to the end. All in all one and a half thousand vehicles left the walls of the automobile plant.
