Residents are offered to shoot photos and videos depicting environmental offenses and upload them through the website of the State Committee on Ecology. If the photo report is confirmed, the culprit will be fined.
The state body is ready to share it with those who helped find the delinquent. The amount will be 15 percent of the fine. The department is confident that such a measure will help to increase the effectiveness of environmental protection work at times. The State Committee on Ecology plans to create a whole system of public inspectors of environmental control.
