A meteorite that fell two years ago in Michigan was studied in a laboratory. It turned out that it contains traces of organics, a unique variety of chondrites like H4.
The presence of these molecules indicates that life on Earth may have begun in this way. Scientists quite often find traces of organic compounds in celestial bodies that have fallen from space.
Millions of years ago, they could similarly bring primary organic matter to our planet, according to the scientific journal Meteoritics & Planetary Science.
