Sweden will introduce quarantine in the event of a further increase in COVID-19 cases. This is reported by the country's chief epidemiologist, Address Tegnell, “Bloomberg” informs.
According to Tegnell, decisions on the introduction of restrictive measures or even full-fledged quarantine are currently under discussion in the government.
The head of the Stockholm Health Department, Bjorn Eriksson, calls on citizens to observe social distance and implement other recommendations of doctors.
Sweden is currently the only European state that has chosen not to stop its economy in a pandemic and has not introduced quarantine.
