In 2020, the average salary of Russian teachers amounted to less than 31 thousand rubles, Izvestia reports citing a study by the Avito Work center.
As it became known to analysts, teachers in Moscow in the II quarter received an average salary of more than 51.5 thousand rubles. In St. Petersburg, this figure barely exceeded 35 thousand rubles a month. Almost 30 thousand rubles amounted to the salary of teachers for the indicated period in Yekaterinburg.
Kazan teachers earned on average 29 thousand rubles, in Perm their colleagues received a little more than 27 thousand rubles, in Omsk - also about 27 thousand rubles.
The lowest salaries were in Novosibirsk and Volgograd: 21.1 and 20.6 thousand rubles.
Thus, the teaching profession turned out to be one of the lowest paid in Russia again.
