On September 13, 28 protests took place in Belarus, in which about 22 thousand people participated, 774 people were detained by law enforcement officers. This was reported on Monday in the Telegram channel by the press secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the country, Olga Chemodanova.
The report says that the department took the necessary measures to maintain order and ensure public safety of their conduct. So, in particular, in Brest, a water cannon was used "to avoid a threat to road safety."
Of the total number of detentions in Minsk, more than 500 were carried out. "544 people were placed in pre-trial detention center prior to consideration of administrative offenses," Chemodanova said.
