Scientists of the University of Lund have used the thinnest microelectrodes in a new method of pain treatment.
Using electricity, the specialists were able to relieve severe pain without the side effects usually associated with the use of pain relievers.
Ultra-thin electrodes connect to brain cells located in the pain center. At the same time, the use of electrodes is completely safe. During the experiment, scientists tested new technology on rodents.
