St. Petersburg authorities plan to actively develop water tourism

According to the government of St. Petersburg, during a meeting of the Maritime Council, Governor Alexander Beglov called water tourism one of the most promising areas.

In this regard, the head of the city noted that it is necessary to develop ferry, cruise, pleasure and yacht types of water tourism. At the moment, tourists who arrived on cruise ships can stay in the city without a visa for 72 hours.

Beglov also added that yacht tourism has great potential. St. Petersburg has the opportunity to receive up to 2,000 different yachts and approximately 15,000 yachtsman tourists per month.

In addition, it is possible to increase the prestige of the city due to international regattas.
