According to BelTA, President-elect Lukashenko, putting his right hand on the Constitution, took the oath in Belarusian. After that, he signed the act of taking the oath. Then CEC Chairman Lidia Yermoshina handed Alexander Lukashenko a presidential certificate.
It is noted that several hundred people were invited to the inauguration ceremony - officials, deputies, heads of state bodies, republican media, figures of science, culture and sports.
According to the CEC, the presidential election in Belarus was held on August 9. 80.1% of voters voted for Alexander Lukashenko.
