In the course of checking operational information, St. Petersburg law enforcement officers revealed an illegal alcohol production workshop in one of the city's garage cooperatives, from there they seized about four thousand liters of ethyl alcohol and more than 500 bottles of finished products, glass containers, labels, fake excise stamps and equipment for bottling alcohol-containing liquids. This information was published today by the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region.
The illegal enterprise was located on Kommuna Street, in two garage premises. All seized property was sent to the temporary storage warehouse as physical evidence.
A criminal case has been opened over this crime under the article on manufacture, sale of counterfeit excise stamps, special stamps or conformity marks or their use. Now the persons involved in the organization of the illegal production are being established.
