The first lady of the United States received a negative test for COVID-19 and is returning to Washington.
US President Joe Biden's wife tested negative after she contracted the coronavirus. Jill Biden fell ill on August 16, but she is now free to return to Washington. The illness has receded.
"The first lady has tested negative for COVID-19 and will return to Washington on Tuesday, August 30," the US administration's press office wrote.
Joe Biden's 71-year-old wife was vaccinated and then revaccinated against the coronavirus, but she still became infected. She, as the press service of the White House wrote, had mild symptoms of the disease.
Recall that the US president himself contracted covid at the end of July.
