Chinese authorities demanded that factories shut down for a week's quarantine because of the COVID-19 outbreak. The iPhone manufacturing plants were closed, but they did not stop working.
As reported by Bloomberg, one of the largest iPhone manufacturers Foxconn has closed factories in Shenzhen for a week. At the same time, the enterprises continue to operate in a "closed cycle" mode.
This means that workers will not be able to leave the territory of the factories for seven days of quarantine.
Similar measures have been introduced at the factories of ZTE, Huawei, DJI, etc. And this is because the production of new iPhones should start in the summer, and if now, in the preparation period, there is a delay, you can disrupt the delivery of new gadgets.
