The Kazakhstani authorities have approved a two-year plan to counteract the shadow economy. It provides for measures aimed at developing the share of small and medium-sized businesses in the country's GDP. This information was published by the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers.
"The plan is developed until 2025. So, by this time coordinate are going to reduce the shadow turnover in wholesale and retail trade to 5%. In the transport industry, the plan is to reach 2.4%. Moreover, by 2025 the share of small and medium-sized businesses in GDP will be increased to 37.5%," the report says.
The plan displays measures focused on the development of tax and customs administration and the formation of a productive competitive environment.
