Trade turnover between Russia and Georgia continues to grow. Thus, in the first half of 2023 it grew by almost 25% and exceeded one billion US dollars. Exports from Georgia to the Russian Federation exceeded 26%. Such information was shared by the national statistics service "Sakstat".
Almost 70 thousand tons of fresh and mineral water were exported from Georgia to Russia during the above period. Also, more than 47 thousand tons of water with sugar additives and more than 36 thousand tons of wine were exported from this country to Russia. By the way, the export of alcohol from Georgia to Russia has increased quite a lot. This indicator has increased by almost 40%. Moreover, Georgia sent to Russia about 36 thousand tons of ferroalloys and more than 4 thousand cars.
More than 553 thousand tons of oil and oil products, almost 356 thousand tons of natural and associated gases, more than 93 thousand tons of flour, 62 thousand tons of glass bottles and 45 thousand tons of carbon steel bars were exported from Russia.
