Vice President of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) on outbound tourism Arthur Muradyan told "Izvestia" that the vacation for Russians in the United Arab Emirates was 15-20% cheaper than the similar conditions and services in Turkey.
"This is due to discounts due to the low season. In turn, Turkey, on the contrary, became more expensive, especially during the May holidays," Muradyan explained.
A flight from Russian cities to the UAE is also relatively inexpensive because of the large number of flights.
Low season in the UAE is caused by hot weather. In summer the temperature in the Emirates is above 40 degrees, but this, as Artur Muradyan said, does not discourage Russian tourists.
