The Berlin prosecutor's office has closed the investigation against German Air Force inspector Ingo Gerhartz, which was conducted due to the interception of a conversation between Bundeswehr officers about the possible use of Taurus cruise missiles on the Crimean bridge.

The prosecutor's office noted that the investigation was terminated because there was no initial suspicion to warrant an investigation.

It specified that there was no evidence of willful actions on the part of the person in question. Negligence may be relevant to disciplinary measures, but is not punishable as negligence, writes Business Insider.

Margarita Simonyan, editor-in-chief of Rossiya Segodnya and RT, published on March 1 the text of a conversation between high-ranking representatives of the German Armed Forces. The conversation took place on February 19 and was attended by the head of the operations and exercises department of the German Air Force Command Grefe, Air Force inspector Gerhartz and employees of the air operations center of the Bundeswehr Space Command Fenske and Frostedte.

Earlier it was reported that the information about six thousand online meetings on the WebEx platform of employees of the German Defense Ministry for several months was opened in the Network.
