Earlier on Thursday, local media reported that there was information about the seizure of the Koktobe television tower in Alma-Ata. Later, according to Informburo.kz, Saltanat Azirbek, an official representative of the city police department, said that the information about the seizure of the television tower was not confirmed.
At the same time, looters in the protests earlier arranged riots in the offices of five TV channels in the former capital. And the day before, a branch building of the state television channel Kazakhstan was on fire.
