Britons are forced to abandon not only vacation plans, but even daily habits because of rising gasoline prices.
The Sun newspaper conducted a survey in which 10% of British residents admitted that they refused to travel around the country by car during the vacations. Because of the rising price of gasoline this form of recreation was not available to them.
Another 7% of Britons said they had reconsidered plans to visit elderly relatives.
12% of respondents said they no longer drive their own car to work, with 20% of this group of respondents aged 18 to 24.
Parents have stopped taking their children to school in the family car, and 10% of British citizens have opted to sell their cars.
