The cultural program in Istanbul from the beginning of 2024 will become more unaffordable for tourists due to a sharp increase in the prices of entrance tickets to museums and attractions.
The changes will affect major tourist destinations, while foreign visitors, including Russians, will feel a special blow as prices for them will increase significantly, RIA Novosti reported.
The rise in price will affect mainly combined tickets, which allow you to visit several attractions at one time.
For example, the price of a combined ticket to Topkapi Palace, which includes a visit to Topkapi Palace and the Harem, will rise from 950 to 1,500 Turkish Liras for foreign visitors. This means an increase in prices from 3 to 4.7 thousand rubles for Russian tourists, which may prove to be a crippling burden for many travelers. Other combined tickets providing access to the main attractions of Istanbul will also become more expensive.
Recall that earlier in Sochi and Anapa turned out to be the most expensive average prices in hotels in 2023.
