This is according to Kommersant, which has in its possession the minutes of a meeting of the head of the Department of Economic Sectors of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation.
The ministry is developing criteria for selecting locations for electric charging stations. These include the length of transportation routes in the area, their category and economic feasibility.
The agency has started to consider the installation of EV charging stations at gas stations on federal highways where the main flow of cars moves.
The publication notes that Gazprom Neft sees several factors as the main ones. These are the location of the filling station, the availability of electric vehicles in a particular region, and the availability of a café or accommodation while waiting for recharging.
