A 45-year-old Singaporean citizen was hanged.
After twenty years, authorities in Singapore have carried out the death sentence of a woman who was found guilty of transporting narcotic drugs. The official report was submitted by the Singapore Central Narcotics Bureau.
According to information, the 45-year-old Singaporean national was hanged. She was arrested in 2018 for attempting to transport 30 grams of heroin.
The case was the first time in twenty years that a woman has been brought to execution in Singapore. This week also saw the execution of a man found guilty of possession and transportation of narcotic drugs. Since the beginning of 2020, 16 people have already been executed in Singapore in drug-related cases.
Singapore's laws are very strict, especially when it comes to drugs. Most crimes in this area carry the highest penalties.
