Duchess Kate Middleton, wife of Prince William, has undergone cavity surgery, People reports.
On January 17, Kensington Palace provided information that Kate Middleton, 42, underwent elective surgery at a London clinic on January 16.
Royal family officials said the surgery was successful and the duchess will have to spend 10 to 14 days in the hospital before returning home to recover. Under current medical guidelines, she likely won't perform her duties until after Easter.
While the reason for the surgery has not been disclosed, the procedure is not cancer-related, according to People. After discharge, the Duchess will continue her recovery process at Windsor Castle. Because of the surgery, Prince William will also be less likely to appear in public places until his wife is fully recovered.
Earlier, Prince William told about his most terrible gift for his wife, and it became known how the Duchess herself celebrated her birthday.
