Russia has proposed to cancel tourist visas for a number of countries, Economic Development Minister Maxim Reshetnikov said at the session "Inbound tourism: challenges and opportunities in the new reality", held as part of the Eastern Economic Forum.

"We are developing the theme of transition to a visa-free regime. Of the partner countries, these are the countries of the Middle East and Southeast Asia. Where the growth of premium tourists, among other things, is possible," Reshetnikov said.

The Eastern Economic Forum started on September 10 in Vladivostok. This is already the eighth event that brings together Russian and foreign partners interested in cooperation.
