The Code of Administrative Offences (CAO) is proposed to introduce fines for violation of silence and peace at night.
According to Izvestia, members of the Duma Committee on Labor and Social Policy sent the bill on fines for breaking peace and quiet at night for imprisonment in the Cabinet of Ministers.
The project is proposed to supplement Chapter 20 of the Administrative Code with a new article, violators of which will be held administratively liable. The legislation of some Russian regions prohibits the violation of peace and quiet at night.
“However, the process of bringing to justice with the participation of not only the internal affairs bodies (police), but also other officials is rather complicated and too extended in time,” the explanatory note states.
In this regard, the head of the State Duma Committee on Labor and Social Policy Yaroslav Nilov proposed to introduce administrative fines into the Administrative Code for this violation: for individuals - from 2.5 to 5 thousand rubles, for officials - from 10 to 20 thousand, for legal entities - from 50 to 100 thousand rubles.
The press service of the Russian government noted that this bill is currently sent to the executive authorities for expert study.
