Kazakhstan decided to partially bring back the mask regime

By decision of the Chief Sanitary Doctor of Kazakhstan Aizhan Esmagambetova it is now mandatory to use medical masks in medical institutions of the country.

The decree also recommends wearing them in any places where large numbers of people gather.

The document came into force on 8 February this year.

It is emphasised that these measures are aimed at preventing the spread of infectious diseases that are transmitted through the airborne route, such as COVID-19 coronavirus infection, influenza and other respiratory viral diseases.

Earlier, the head of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation Murashko recommended wearing masks during the rise in the incidence of influenza and acute respiratory viral infections, and in St. Petersburg introduced a partial mask regime.
