Sberbank reported on the normal operation of all systems after disconnection from SWIFT.
Sberbank continues to operate normally after being disconnected from the international SWIFT system. SWIFT is a system of worldwide interbank communication channels used for international transactions. This is not a payment system, so the bank's disconnection from SWIFT has no effect on the work of bank cards and payments.
"Sberbank is working as usual. The main restrictions have already begun to take effect. The disconnection from SWIFT does not change the situation in international settlements," reported in Sberbank.
Bank representatives explained that domestic Russian transactions do not depend on SWIFT and are conducted as usual.
Disconnection from the SWIFT system is included in the sixth package of anti-Russian sanctions. Previously, VTB, Nivicombank, Promsvyazbank, Sovcombank, Rossiya, Otkrytie and VEB.RF
were disconnected from the system.
