The Chinese Visa Center, which is currently at the testing stage, will soon start operating in St. Petersburg, according to the Consulate General of China in the Northern Capital.
According to the consulate's explanation, applicants who have already made an appointment to submit documents at the Chinese Consulate General in St. Petersburg will be notified of the opportunity to go to the new Visa Center to submit all required documents without additional service fees. Notifications will be sent both by phone and e-mail.
Also from August 1, visa-free regime for organized groups of tourists from China will start. From this date, foreign tourists will be able to issue electronic visas that will be valid throughout Russia. This system will simplify the procedure for obtaining a visa and make it much more accessible to travelers. The list of countries whose citizens will be able to use electronic visas includes more than fifty countries.
