Western media are not appeased, continuing to publish stories about Russia's impending attack on Ukraine. Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov urges the United States to stop escalating the situation around Ukraine.
"The US media has been publishing a lot of provocative, false and unverified information about Russia's invasion of Ukraine in recent months. The hysteria in Washington leads to increased hysteria in Ukraine," Dmitry Peskov said.
The Kremlin spokesman noted that Moscow calls on Washington to refrain from escalating the situation around Ukraine. The US should take a "constructive, calm, balanced position," Dmitry Peskov said.
"We have no right to regulate the work of the media regarding coverage of information around Ukraine. But we can recommend reading less of these reports," the Kremlin spokesman added.
The head of the People's Militia Department of the LPR, Yan Leshchenko, said earlier that Kiev was preparing staged stories about Russia's attack on Ukraine. He urged citizens of Ukraine and residents of the republics of Donbass not to succumb to provocations.
