US senators propose to agree on a reduced amount of funds for Ukraine in the form of 4.5 billion dollars through the Pentagon and 1.65 billion through the State Department for the period until November 17, the draft temporary budget says.

It also notes that the temporary budget will be terminated if a full-fledged budget is adopted or if the draft is not agreed and does not enter into force by November 17.

The text of the document is published by the publication Punchbowl.

The White House previously asked Congress to agree aid to Ukraine for 24 billion dollars, as part of the same request, the administration asked for additional appropriations and for government agencies of the United States. The White House said the request needs to be reconciled by the end of the fiscal year, by October 1.

Senators are now proposing a temporary version of the deal instead of agreeing to a full-fledged "supplemental aid".

Some Republicans in Congress do not agree to vote for assistance to Ukraine in one package with funds for the needs of the States and threaten the Cabinet to stop funding.

Earlier it was reported that the USA would have enough money for supplies to Ukraine for only a few weeks.
