Entry visas and permits for a long stay in the Czech Republic will not be issued to citizens of Russia and Belarus until March 2023.
After February 24, the Czech authorities banned the issuance of visas to citizens of Russia and Belarus to enter the country and permits for long-term stay. This ban will be in force until the end of March 2023, said the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic.
The exceptions are humanitarian cases, the Ministry specifies.
The Czech authorities intend to exert pressure on the Russian and Belarusian authorities to stop the hostilities in Ukraine and to protect the security interests of the country, added the Czech Foreign Ministry.
Russians and Belarusians who already have permits for long-term stay in the country can apply for their extension in accordance with the established regime.
