Political attitudes were measured by the INSA sociological institute commissioned by Bild am Sonntag.
They showed that as of January 2024, only 13% of those polled are willing to vote for the Social Democratic Party of Germany. This is half as much as in 2021, when the party won 25.7% of the electoral votes.
The most popular remains the bloc of Christian Democrats CDU/CSU. Up to 30% of respondents give their sympathies to it.
The result of polls in Germany is not surprising: its background is the strikes of farmers, workers of a number of industries, which are in pre-bankruptcy because of sanctions against Russian energy resources. Purely political protest has also intensified in Germany; hundreds of thousands of protesters have spoken out against the rise of extremism. Demands for the resignation of the Scholz government are commonplace in January 2024. Even immigrants have begun to flee Germany: the tightening of demands and lack of money are having an impact.
