Former US President Donald Trump has asked the country's Supreme Court to consider whether he has immunity in the 2020 election meddling case.
Former American leader Donald Trump has appealed to the Supreme Court of the United States, asking to consider whether he has immunity in the case of interference in the 2020 election.
The Supreme Court should temporarily halt the D.C. Circuit Court's decision to prevent a departure from accepted appellate procedures and allow Trump's claim of immunity to be considered, the court documents said.
The appeals court had previously ruled that Trump did not have immunity from legal prosecution in the case of his interference in the 2020 presidential election and riots in Washington.
Earlier, US President Joe Biden said that Trump's appeals and lies led to the storming of the Capitol.
