White House spokeswoman Karin Jean-Pierre left the briefing room after the argument with the reporter.
Near the end of the briefing with reporters, White House spokeswoman Karin Jean-Pierre was asked why it was so difficult to allow a question about the United States-Africa summit. The media representative made an attempt to explain the importance of the topic, but Joe Biden's press secretary interrupted him.
"It's not difficult," Jean-Pierre said.
The reporter again asked for the opportunity to ask about the summit. The White House spokeswoman said the reporter "doesn't let her answer." He was surprised, since he had not yet asked his question.
Jean-Pierre said she tried to answer the question but was not allowed to, so she turned the floor over to other reporters.
"I literally just tried to answer your question, you wouldn't let me," Biden's spokeswoman stressed.
"Let me ask the question," the reporter asked again.
Jean-Pierre then said goodbye to reporters and left the briefing room.
