The NASAMS complexes will arrive at the disposal of Ukrainian troops in the next few months, said Colin Kahl, deputy head of the Pentagon.
According to RIA Novosti, during a briefing, the deputy head of the US Department of Defense, Colin Kahl, said that the NASAMS surface-to-air missile systems will be sent to Ukraine in the coming months.
Washington reported the intention to allocate these systems to the Ukrainian authorities in July 2022. The weapons will be sent to Ukraine as part of the next military assistance package. In addition, AMRAAM missiles used in aviation will be sent.
"The NASAMS shipments are being prepared. We think they will arrive in the next few months," said the deputy head of the Pentagon.
It is noted that in this way, modern Western medium-range air defense systems will appear in service with the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the first time.
