The Russian Federation, as a response, included 61 citizens of the United States in the sanctions list, including the heads of the Treasury Department Janet Yellen and the Department of Energy Jennifer Granholm.
The Russian Foreign Ministry noted that as a response to the expanding anti-Russian sanctions of the United States, 61 American citizens from among the leaders of leading corporations, media and rating agencies, aircraft and shipbuilding companies are included in the stop list.
The department added that the list includes individual State Department officials who are involved in stuffing about “malicious” Russian cyber attacks.”
The head of the US Department of Energy Jennifer Granholm and US Secretary of the Treasury Janet Yellen were on the "black" list. Restrictive measures were also introduced against United Airlines President Brett Hart, Universal Pictures President Peter Kramer, Moody`s Director Rob Fauber, and Nasdaq President Adena Friedman.
In addition, the head of the US Foreign Office's Bureau of Cyberspace Security and Digital Policy, Jennifer Bacchus, and White House Communications Director Katherine Bedingfield were also sanctioned. These Americans are banned from entering Russia.
Earlier, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation published a national stop list, which included 963 US citizens.
