IAEA head Grossi said that an initial assessment of the ZNPP has been made

IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi assessed the situation at Zaporizhzhia NPP during his stay at the plant.

"We see the dedicated work of the staff and management. Despite very difficult circumstances, they are doing their job professionally. We will continue our analysis," Grossi said.

The IAEA director general added that the agency's inspectors were able to gather a lot of information in a few hours.

Grossi also stressed that the key things he wanted to see he had seen.

According to him, members of the mission will stay in Energodar and intend to meet with citizens.

IAEA inspectors led by Rafael Grossi, general director of the agency, arrived at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) on Thursday, September 1. The head of the Rosatom delegation and plant employees led the delegation through the territory of Zaporizhzhya NPP and showed the areas that had suffered from shelling by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
