May 2022 in Moscow was the coldest in the 21st century

According to the Phobos weather center, last May was the coldest of the entire 21st century. The average temperature during the month was about +10.6°C. This is 0.3 °C lower than the previous minimum recorded in 2017.

According to forecasters, the lowest temperature was recorded on May 1. It was -1.7°C. The warmest day of May was the 12th day, when the air in the capital warmed up to +22.1°C

The last day of spring was also generous with precipitation. During May, 60.1 mm of precipitation fell in the capital, which was 118% of the monthly norm.
