Fourteen people in Buryatia who ate low-quality shawarma contracted salmonellosis

On November 27, mass poisoning with low-quality shawarma was detected in Buryatia.

In the village of Petropavlovka, Dzhida district, 14 people who bought shawarma at a kiosk were diagnosed with salmonella bacteria infection. All the sick are in hospital. Five people have salmonellosis in acute form. In general, their condition is satisfactory.

"The Department of Rospotrebnadzor for the Republic of Buryatia immediately launched an epidemiological investigation, according to the preliminary results of which it was established that the morbidity is of food character and is associated with the consumption of finished products of the kiosk "Shawarma in lovash" in the village of Petropavlovka", - stated in the message of the supervisory agency.

Specialists Rospotrebnadzor establish all who could have been infected with bacteria. Medics have established surveillance of all contact persons. In the homes of the infected are laboratory tests.

Already now after the inspection of the kiosk "Shawarma in lovasha" in Rospotrebnadzor states that the public catering revealed gross violations of sanitary and epidemiological requirements. The activity of the kiosk is suspended.

"Samples of food, water, washes from the objects of the external environment, as well as biosamples from the employee, the research of which continues", - specify in the agency.

Doctor of sciences Viktor Krasnov told whether it is possible to determine the shawarma contaminated with bacteria.
