On Sunday, December 3, an unknown person set fire to a cell phone tower in Buynaksk and fled, Life.ru reported citing the SHOT Telegram channel.
According to the channel, the incident occurred around 7 a.m. in the area of Belovetskaya Hill. Local residents immediately contacted the emergency services, reporting the fire. The Russian Emergencies Ministry employees, who arrived on the scene, promptly extinguished the flames.
Later, specialists examined the scene and found that the perpetrator had broken into a metal booth containing cellular equipment and set the fire. As a result of the incident, the equipment was partially burned out. Currently, law enforcement agencies are establishing the amount of damage caused and are looking for the intruder.
