Number of victims of heavy rains and landslides in Brazil exceeds 120

Brazil's National Civil Defense Service has updated the death toll from heavy rains and landslides in the northeast of the country. According to its data, three people died in the state of Alagoas and 120 people in the state of Pernambuco.

Torrential rains have been falling in and around the city of Recife since the 1920s of May. They have caused landslides and a state of emergency has been declared in the municipalities. There are people missing. Rescuers, and there are more than four hundred of them, continue to search for people.
