Former Juventus and Uruguayan national team player O'Neil passed away

The former Juventus player, footballer O'Neal died on Sunday, December 25. The athlete was 49 years old and had problems with alcohol.

The footballer was defending the honor of the Uruguayan national team. The athlete was hospitalized at the Uruguayan Medical Center CTI, O'Neal was diagnosed with liver problems. The player was in a state of coma, at the medical facility he was placed in intensive care due to gastrointestinal bleeding, where he died.

The death was reported by the Uruguayan Football Federation. According to the player's family, there will be no funeral.

O'Neill had been diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver, and for a long time the footballer had problems with alcohol.

In 2000 the footballer began playing for Juventus, before that he played for Cagliari for four years. O'Neill also defended the honor of the Uruguayan national soccer team, the player played for the national team 19 games.
