Most of the patients of acute respiratory viral infections in the current season are also infected with influenza.
In Russia, the incidence of acute respiratory viral infections and influenza is growing. According to Rospotrebnadzor, only in the last week the rate increased by 15.8%.
In this case, the department noted that in the structure of circulating acute respiratory viruses prevail influenza viruses. In particular, they account for almost 70% of illnesses. The most common flu virus is influenza A(H1N1)2009, or swine flu. The number of patients with this strain of influenza has already been detected in 86 regions of the country.
In this regard, the department insists on the need to be vaccinated against the flu. By now more than 76 million people or 52.2% of the population have been vaccinated, said Rospotrebnadzor.
