The state requires 60 physicians and 100 paramedics.
Igor Pushkaryov, the chief doctor of the Ekaterinburg ambulance service, told the OTV channel in the program "Accent" about the shortage of doctors and paramedics in the city ambulance service.
He explained that there is a shortage of medics because of low salaries and high workload.
"Now we have salaries even less than doctors in hospitals, and the load, of course, is colossal. Doctors and paramedics of the ambulance are in the car 24 hours. At the same time, the average salary of medical personnel is 64,000 rubles, while doctors have slightly more - 96,000 rubles," Pushkaryov explained.
The specificity of work in the ambulance service, when specialists have to work not in the hospital, but in the apartments of patients, on the streets, in the entrances, also has an impact.
The level of unjustified calls of ambulance crews is also high. The Chief Physician also mentioned the low cost of ambulance call. In Ekaterinburg it is 4500 rubles, while in Moscow it is about 11 thousand rubles.
The Novosibirsk regional hospital has deployed surgery for children with oncology.
