The incidence of COVID-19 in Russia is at its lowest level since April 2020

An increase in the incidence was recorded in 21 regions.

The number of new cases of COVID-19 infection in a 24-hour period in Russia was 3,349, according to the operative staff. This is the lowest figure since April 2020, when the daily number of infected was 2,774 cases.

662 patients were hospitalized during the day. 64 people died from the effects of the coronavirus. 3,492 patients were cured of the infection. The following regions were leading in sickness rates: St. Petersburg (242 people), Moscow (189) and Volgograd Oblast (189).

At the same time, the operational staff notes that so far no region of the Russian Federation does not meet the criterion of freedom from coronavirus. An increase in the incidence of the disease was registered in 21 regions, seven of which were higher than the national average.
