The Ministry of Health reported that examinations of donors who donate their organs or tissues will be free of charge. This will reduce the risks of complications as a result of a more thorough examination of a person's health.
In Russia, examinations of tissue and organ donors will be made free of charge. This was reported by the Ministry of Health. However, we are speaking only about those donors who have given their written consent for transplantation. All examinations required prior to surgery will be performed on them under the MHI program.
As explained by the chief freelance specialist-transplantologist of the Ministry of Health of Russia, director of the National Research Center for Transplantology and Artificial Organs named after ac. Shumakov Sergei Gauthier, organ transplantation is associated with high risks of complications for both donor and recipient. The conclusion that the donor and the recipient are suitable for each other can only be made after a high-tech examination of both, he specified.
The free donor examination will allow us to do this in a short time using the most modern technology.
