Last year, trade between Russia and China increased by 29.3% year on year to $190.27 billion, a record high for the two countries, according to the General Administration of Customs of the PRC.
The volume of exports from China to Russia rose by 12.8% to $76.12 billion during 2022. As for imports from Russia to China, this figure increased by 43.4% to $114.15 billion.
Russia's surplus also reached $38 billion last year, which is more than tripled. Last December, trade between the two countries reached $ 17.8 billion, which is 3% less than in November.
Recall that China usually buys energy resources from Russia: oil, pipeline gas, LNG, as well as coal and fuel oil. In addition, China actively consumes Russian mineral resources, timber, as well as agricultural products and seafood.
As for Russia, Chinese consumer electronics, excavators, cars, as well as clothes, shoes and many other consumer goods are in the highest demand in the country.
