Russia has decided to reduce the discount on oil for India from $30 per barrel to $4. An article with relevant content was published in the Times of India.
The publication, citing Indian oil refiners, informs that the discount on Russian Urals has been reduced from around $30 to close to $4 a barrel.
According to interlocutors, Russia bills Indian refineries at a price that is below the $60 a barrel ceiling set by the West. However, it charges an additional $11 to $19 for delivery from the Baltic and Black Seas to India's western shores.
"The cost of shipping from Russian ports to India at $11-19 per barrel ... is higher than rates for comparable distances, such as a voyage from the Persian Gulf to Rotterdam," the authors of the article write.
