Mobile operator Beeline will keep its brand after its sale by Veon to Russian top management.
"Of course, it won't, Beeline will remain Beeline," said Alexander Torbakhov, the mobile operator's general director.
This is how he answered the question of journalists whether Beeline would keep the brand after the sale to Russian management.
Veon, a Dutch telecom holding company, started the process of selling its Russian business to Vimpelcom in early November. After that the company said that "Vimpelcom" will buy out its top management, headed by Alexander Torbakhov, for 130 billion rubles. Veon's release noted that the company was valued at 370 billion rubles as part of the deal. The press service of Beeline explained to RIA Novosti that the remaining 240 billion is the net debt of Vimpelcom.
