The cost of utilities in Italy for ten years rose by 68.7%. At the same time the growth of incomes of the population amounted to 11.5%.
La Repubblica wrote about the situation on the utilities market, citing data from the consumer protection association Codacons. As noted, the cost of annual services for light, gas, water and garbage collection for the average Italian family is on average about € 1,625.
Prices have increased most for electricity: since 2012, it has risen 2.5 times - from €524 per family to €1322 in 2022. As for average income, the average level for Italian families in 10 years, it reached from €29.5 thousand to €32.8 thousand.
