In the period from January to October 2023, trade turnover between Russia and China increased by 27.7% year-on-year, reaching $196.48 billion. The corresponding data is confirmed by the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China.
According to Chinese customs statistics, China increased the volume of imports of Russian goods by 12.4% compared to the same period of 2022, reaching $106.4 billion.
At the same time, Russia increased its purchases of goods in China by 52.2% compared to ten months of last year, reaching $90.08 billion.
In terms of specific items, the main export groups from Russia to China were commodities such as oil, natural gas and coal.
For its part, Russia exported consumer electronics and appliances, computers, as well as industrial equipment and vehicles from China.
Earlier, China was named as a possible mediator in the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
